Ideal for boxes packed with wine glasses, Champaign flutes, crystal glasses goblets, and low and high ball tumblers, crystal and glass ornaments.

Many decorative household items are not designed to be physically strong, and being delicate, ornaments such as porcelain and chinaware or glassware can be easily broken or damaged. To guard against rough handling during loading, unloading and transit Red on White 'FRAGILE' tape clearly identifies boxes that need extra care.

Usage suggestions:

  • How to tape a box -
    1. FRAGILE tape strips, correctly applied, secure and strengthen the box structure
    2. fold the shorter 2 bottom flaps towards the centre (there is no need to tape these)
    3. then fold the longer side flaps over the shorter, the flaps naturally lock and prevent box distortion and provide padding
    4. attach tape 6" up the side of the box and run the tape out over the touching long flap edges
    5. continue up the other box side 6" to ensure adequate side adhesion
    6. run your hand over the pressure sensitive tape to ensure contact adhesion with the cardboard
    7. flip over the box - you'll immediate see how strong and stable it is. When packed, seal the top flaps in the same way and mark the destination lable.

How to Use a Tape Gun

tape guns make for rapid, efficient sealing of boxes and a roll FRAGILE tape fits onto the main roller

    1. tape is fed through to a secondary roller so the tacky end section is exposed
    2. stick the tape on the box side and pull directly back unwinds over the flap edges
    3. pull the tape along the site
    4. wrist twist helps the metal blade cut the tape while a paddle ensures tape contact with box
